Understand the formation of the flower

Researchers at our Laboratory work on genes that govern the development of the various organs of the flower (but also on the size and fruit ripening) and on understanding the molecular mechanisms involved. SEPALLATA3 is one of the most important actor. Those researchers have characterized its 3D structure and understood how SEPALLATA3 interacts with DNA to give birth to the various parts of the flower.
