First functional characterization of an antisense RNA in plastids

A research team at our laboratory has developed an approach to use a mutant not expressing a transcription factor encoded in the nucleus. They perform the first functional characterization of an antisense RNA in plastids. This new strategy is promising in the functional analysis of ncRNA plastid for which little data are known.
