Researchers at our laboratory, at the laboratory adaptation and pathogenicity of microorganisms (University of Grenoble) and at the Laboratory of Microbial Ecology of the Rhizosphere and Extreme Environments (CEA/Cadarache) have shown that a molecule called FR235222, is able to specifically suppress the activity of an enzyme produced by parasites of animal cells, such as those that cause malaria and toxoplasmosis.
