A drug candidate against toxoplasmosis and malaria?


Researchers at our laboratory, at the laboratory adaptation and pathogenicity of microorganisms (University of Grenoble) and at the Laboratory of Microbial Ecology of the Rhizosphere and Extreme Environments (CEA/Cadarache) have shown that a molecule called FR235222, is able to specifically suppress the activity of an enzyme produced by parasites of animal cells, such as those that cause malaria and toxoplasmosis.​
