The movement of lipids in plants



Researchers from our Laboratory have discovered a lipoprotein complex involved in the transport of galactolipids from the c​​hloroplast to the mitochondria. These lipids are replacing those that the plant had to consume in certain stress conditions, ​to allow the mitochondria to keep its integrity.
