Development of anti-malarial, anti-parasitic and herbicide

We are specialized in the study of the components and processes which are essential to the plant cell development. As part of these studies, Eric Maréchal at this laboratory led a structural and functional analysis of one of the most important enzymes in lipid metabolism of plants, MGDG synthase. He proposes this enzyme as an innovative target in order to select inhibitory molecules presenting herbicidal but also pest control properties.
